I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears. Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. – Psalm 34:4-5
O Lord, we acknowledge you as a God of immeasurable Mercy and Compassion. When we seek you in Jesus’ Name and in absolute faith and belief, you manifest the aura of your Presence, to comfort, encourage and increase our faith in you. You never abandon your children, when they seek you in courage and truth. Lord, a contrite and sincere heart you never disappoint, for you know that we need your help and assistance in all the works of our hands, in all the troubles that hinder our progress and we take great comfort in the certain expectation of your mercy.
You gently administer to all those who are in dire need of being rescued from the bondage of sin and shame, and who seek you in fearful trepidation. You give the penitent the assurance of the absolution of all their misdeeds, when with abject and heavy hearts they cry out to you. When we are weak, you display your strength, when we are bowed low in grief you grant us the tenderness of your compassion, when we are lost, you reach out to our call and hold our hand with your Mighty Right Hand, calming our grieved hearts and assuring us of your protection.
Not a single soul is disappointed or denied your help, when they call out to you with tears of anguish. You are always there, for you greatly value every being you have created and by restoring them to yourself, your great glory is made manifest and is restored. Lord, our souls greatly rejoice in the abundance of your grace and favor granted to us when we repent and seek your forgiveness. You relieve us of our worrisome burdens, lift up our saddened hearts bringing gladness and enlightening our countenances with the glorious, radiant light of our faith in you. Lord, we beseech you to save us from all pitfalls and snares as we surrender to your Holy Will in Jesus’ Name. Amen
