When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You. – Psalm 56:3
Almighty Father, God of tender Love, of unfailing Compassion and Mercy, of unchangeable Promises, you are always with us, ready to uplift us, when we are repentant and need your Powerful Intervention and Deliverance from fear and intense trials and sufferings of the world. At such times, Father, when your children call out to you, with absolute trust and complete confidence, with faith and hope, we find you and only you can grant us everlasting faithfulness.
All the temporal gains and lures of the world, pale, in comparison with the peace one finds in your presence, dear Lord. Your Holy Word contains the promise of eternal life, of spiritual posterity, of worthiness and above all of sharing in the riches of your glory, in Jesus Christ our Lord. As believers, we are assured entry into the Heavenly Kingdom through adoption and sonship gained for us by Jesus’ sacrificial death.
Though we feel afraid, miserable, crushed and defeated by the challenges and temptations of this earth, by reason of our unshakable faith and belief in the gospel of Truth, given to us by Jesus, our Savior, we cast our fears and troubles unto you, O Lord. We believe, as true followers of Christ, living in him and your covenant of love, that sin and condemnation have been vanquished forever and that your grace will always be our saving power, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
