Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Saviour and my God. – Psalms 42:11
Lord, Heavenly Father, you are our Refuge, Hope and Consolation, because you are Omnipresent, an Ever-living God, Omniscient in your knowledge of us and Omnipotent and Unparalleled in your Power and Might. Where you are, there is no place for dejection, because your Love and Faithfulness keeps away all negativity and helps us overcome all obstacles in our path. When we trust in you, our confidence wipes out desolation and despondency.
Lord, you are always close to the brokenhearted and we feel your presence in our lives when we turn to you in humble submission and supplication. Only your Word and your Will can get us through any circumstance and we are grateful that the indwelling Holy Spirit guides, consoles, supports, teaches and abides with us. When we adhere to your Holy plans for us and stay alert, free of temptation and on the right path, following faithfully in your footsteps, nothing can harm or deceive us.
Help us stay in communion with you always, with the strength that you provide. May we chant and sing your praises even during the darkest hours of our lives. Enable us to be ever grateful to you, for choosing us as your elect, the children of an Eternal Father, Who has redeemed and sanctified us. Jesus is our Savior and Messiah and we approach your Holy Throne, where you abide in the High Places, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
